Piedmont is family

For over 100 years, we’ve been fulfilling the healthcare needs of our neighbors in Atlanta and its surrounding communities. And today many of the people we treat are second-, third- and even fourth-generation patients. Many of the families who have entrusted us with their care throughout generations consider us an extension of their family and we feel the same about them.

At Piedmont, we highly value the diverse ideas, perspectives and skills that all team members bring based on their unique backgrounds and experiences. As part of our team, you’ll appreciate true camaraderie, encouragement and support. You’ll thrive among colleagues who value lasting relationships and meaningful friendships and enjoy celebrating your success as much as their own. That’s the meaning of family – and the spirit of Piedmont Healthcare.

Honesty, integrity, professionalism, stewardship, commitment, accessibility, accountability, open-mindedness, and altruism. These are some of the traits of effective leaders and these are traits that each and every Piedmont Healthcare leader is expected to demonstrate. With patients at the center of all we do, our organization relies on our leaders to envision the future of healthcare and to design and implement plans to ensure our patients and communities continue to have access to the highest quality care and services.

Piedmont Healthcare is dedicated to driving the changes that transform healthcare. We welcome change, encourage innovation and continually seek better ways to achieve our goals and strengthen patient care and services. Whether it’s the discovery of new therapies or the implementation of tomorrow’s technology today, we’re doing it now.

By utilizing electronic medical records and an enterprise-wide MDI (medical device integration) system, physicians and nurses have real-time access to patient information – and more time for hands-on, compassionate patient care. As we strive to improve the patient experience, we are launching new and different ways to provide superior and hassle-free care in the safest way. Today we offer virtual physician visits for the diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses. What we think up next is entirely up to you, your ideas and vision.

At Piedmont, we strive to consistently deliver the highest quality, safest and patient-centered care. Here, 'always safe' isn’t a slogan; it’s a program. “Always Safe” is how we keep safety a top priority. This program includes safety training for all employees and it standardizes equipment, equipment training and maintenance. Safety is engrained in our culture and we seek out people who fit into that culture. "Always Safe" and smart hiring have resulted in patient satisfaction scores going up while the number of errors and hazards goes down.

Piedmont Is Community

We don’t just work in the communities we serve; we live in them. Our patients and their families are our neighbors. We believe that their health – and ours – influence the vibrancy and well-being of our cities and towns. That’s why Piedmont doesn’t want to just make people healthier; we want to keep people healthy. Sixty Plus and Living Better programs, as well as our employee wellness initiatives, are a few of the many ways we teach healthy lifestyle behaviors for people of all ages.

Piedmont Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions about applicants and employees based on qualifications and performance, without regard to age, gender, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, genetic testing, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, or military service.

Our commitment to community is further demonstrated through the partnerships we’ve made with charitable organizations to address the unmet health needs of our most vulnerable populations.

"It's not about a slogan on a wall. It’s about having respect for the employees and patients. It’s trying to do the right thing every time. I see that here."
