This position will work M-F 8:15a-4:45p in Wound Care
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Serves as front-line support for Patient Financial Care within Piedmont. The incumbent is responsible for
handling and resolving in-person, telephonic or digital customer inquiries and/or concerns by providing
patients/guarantors from both hospitals and physician practices with a consistent and seamless
experience. The incumbent is also responsible for following up on and collecting pre-service, at-service or
outstanding guarantor balances when required. Will provide information on estimated cost of services,
verify coverage, secure authorization, make appointments, and explain insurance benefits and
information on financial resources to patients/guarantors.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of healthcare revenue cycle experience is required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Five (5) years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience with a focus in Financial Counseling is desired.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association, or Certified Revenue Cycle
Representative is preferred.
Understanding of Medical Terminology.
Prior Epic experience preferred.
