Description

JOB PURPOSE:
Identifying and analyzing opportunities to enhance the overall performance of Piedmont Healthcare’s management of non-labor expenses as well as the intra- and inter-department performance Supply Chain operations and services. Performs and coordinates financial analysis, data collection and review for non-labor spend and savings opportunities and researches missed targets and identifies causes, impact, and remediation. Optimize, troubleshoot, and leverage use of all supply chain systems and associated SOPs’. Advises on impacts of changes to processes, data/reporting, and ability to deliver value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work closely with leadership to develop and document best business practices, including: functional design specifications, configuration in development and test environments, user acceptance testing, integrity of data feeds and reports, implementing standard operating procedures, and creating end user training.
2. Maintain overall use and implementation of all supply chain systems and SOPs ensuring processes and technology are optimized and recommend process changes and system enhancements while considering impacts to the overall business and other systems and reports.
3. Performs and coordinates financial analysis, data collection, retrieval and review for non-labor spend and savings opportunities.
4. Serve as escalation point in coordination efforts with operations, suppliers, and departments including Finance/Accounts Payable and Information Technology as needed related to overall operational efficiencies. Respond to requests and functional inquiries from business and system end users ensuring streamlining and efficacy of overall operations and outcomes.
5. Perform analysis, quality checks, and productivity studies as directed related to inventory management, product standardizations, conversions, and flow of goods through the external and internal supply chain.
6. Work independently and with functional leaders to support the ERP and other systems optimization implementation as well as global initiatives to maintain data integrity, troubleshoot and recommend solutions
7. Identifies, analyzes and tracks all cost savings initiatives and rebates for validation as directed. Researches missed targets and identifies causes, impact, and remediation.
8. Maintains a “scorecard” and detailed analysis for non-labor spend including non-file and non-contracted spend within Piedmont healthcare.

Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or closely-related field is required. Masters Preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) to Five (5) years of direct experience in a Finance, Supply Chain, or Data Analytics role, preferably in a multi-entity healthcare environment, is required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Piedmont Healthcare’s supply chain technologies and current business implementation. Working knowledge of data flow and impact from/to other systems and processes including Charge Master, General Ledger, data cleansing and normalizing solutions, vendor management solutions, spend analysis solutions and other generalized expense management reporting. Advanced MS Excel skills a must, intermediate to Advanced MS Access skills preferred. Ability to prioritize work, as well as simultaneously manage multiple assignments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and persuade others. Sound business judgment and strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, and facilitation skills. Required in-depth knowledge of core Supply Chain Operations including Requisitioning, Purchasing, Receiving, Invoice Matching, EDI processing, and Warehousing/Distribution.
