JOB PURPOSE:
Accuracy and completeness of data, data interchange and training of Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS). Safeguarding department policies and regulations as they relate to system issues that affect its business administration. Supply Chain Management application software support, advancement, and problem resolution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains master item file as it relates to content, accuracy, and data normalization.
2. Maintains master vendor file as required by purchasing, accounts payable and reporting requirements.
3. Advances the use and capabilities of the application software. Assists in the system updates, project work plans, and task sequencing.
4. Facilitates changes to items, pars, and inventories related to the product conversion, standardization, backorder, recall and substitute processes.
5. Advises on the most effective use of software and proper software procedures to meet desired environment. Supports activities that require specialized system analysis.
6. Participates or conducts the testing of updates, theories and data relationships within the various Supply Chain Systems.
7. Extracts data to enable the reporting needs of the Supply Chain Management Department, Finance, and other departments as required.
8. Works with all levels in automating and represents the Supply Chain Management department’s staff in IT change control, project management and other meetings.
9. Maintains the Supply Chain Management website.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or closely related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of work experience with software applications support, data management, change management (related to content), supply chain concepts, knowledge in MMIS systems and/or data quality control or a closely related field.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent organizational, communications and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to quickly make critical decisions regarding the flow of system activities.
Required experience in: supporting custom interfaces and data exchanges between multiple applications; articulating problems and resolutions clearly, ensuring business requirements are met in functional and technical specifications related to application and interface changes; documenting processes related to system support including but not limited to data entry/ upload, troubleshooting processes, and escalation protocol.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel required with some knowledge of Microsoft Access and web page design/management.
Desired experience in: user-acceptance and regression testing software and interface changes.
Desired application experience: warehouse management systems, order management systems, and working knowledge in reporting tools such as Cognos, Crystal Reports, or similar.
