Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing high quality education programs and activities that promote health of the patient and community through the life cycle, and individual development of the staff according to learning needs identified through a variety of sources to facilitate patient care.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two (2) years of clinical nursing in area of specialty or one year of education experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Registered nurse with current non-restricted Georgia license.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BSN preferred. Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant preferred, or has received certification as a breast feeding counselor.
