Respiratory care at Piedmont Fayetteville is among the fastest growing areas in patient care. Our respiratory therapists (RT) are trained to help people with lung diseases or disorders that can result from a myriad of issues. They treat patients dealing with pulmonary distress due to complications from asthma, bronchitis, COPD, pneumonia, chest trauma, prematurity, lung cancer, and more. The Respiratory team is comprised of multiple skill levels with the support of experienced therapists and a strong leadership team to include an energetic director that creates and maintains a family feel to the workspace. RESPONSIBLE FOR: 
Performing patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures and protocols, critical care procedures in adult care areas, blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of all equipment and patient education.

 


Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous Working Experience in Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS. Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies.
