Description

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Advanced Heart Failure team in Atlanta. This is a full time position working Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This person will rotate in-patient and out-patient management of patients with heart failure, LVAD and heart transplant.

The Samsky Advanced Heart Failure Center is one of the top 10 national LVAD (left ventricular assist device) implanting center, helping end-stage heart failure patients maintain or improve organ function.

 

Piedmont Heart Institute has one of two heart transplant programs in Georgia.

In this position, you will:

Assist in the evaluation and treatment of Cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.

Independently manage patients with heart failure in the Samsky Advanced Heart Failure Center.

Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered.

Work alongside Physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers in a collaborative team.

This position will largely function on an independent basis; ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently.

 


Requirements

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters or Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification

--or--

Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification.

Experience:

3-5 years of acute care cardiology experience with strong Advanced Heart Failure skillsets (transplant, LVAD care experience) preferred.
