Description

This position will be supporting busy Gynecological Oncology and Breast Surgery practices.  Practice management experience in an oncology or surgical setting is preferred.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversees daily operations of the practice (to include but not limited to, ensuring that the practice is staffed appropriately, oversight of office supply inventory, directing the work flow, addressing concerns, making recommendations and resolving problems).
2. Directly supervises all office staff.
3. Acts as a liaison between regional manager, physicians and office staff to resolve conflicts and to promote cohesiveness in the practice. Also serves as a liaison between the practice and other clinical and administrative components.
4. Ensures that the practice follows office policies and procedures, adheres to and enforces regulatory requirements (to include but not limited to quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control).
5. Meets regularly with physicians and staff to advise on activities and new policies as they relate to them and discusses problems/opportunities as they arise.
6. Assists with preparing the departmental budget and acts as a liaison with the finance department regarding accounting and budgeting issues of the practice.
7. Interviews, hires, orients, develops and evaluates staff.
8. Monitors the submission of timely, accurate and complete billing information to the business office.


Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a closely related field.
In lieu of degree, six (6) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of experience in a medical practice, hospital or other health care setting with demonstrated leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
(If no degree, a total of eleven (11) years of experience required).

None.
