Registered Nurse Residency Program will begin in October and November 2023
Our 12-month, comprehensive, transition-to-practice program facilitates your progress from student to professional nurse through education, mentorship and peer support.
Our RN Residency Program prepares new graduate nurses by teaching the knowledge, skills and behaviors that are necessary to continuously improve quality and safety at the point of care. It combines precepted orientation, led by dedicated preceptors, with blended learning experiences.
RN residents will:
Opportunities available in Acute Care (Renal, Oncology, General Medical, Post-Surgical, Neuro or Ortho), Cardiovascular Care (Cardiac Surgery Step-down, Cardiac Step-down, Cardiopulmonary or Cardiac Telemetry), Transplant, Critical Care (Neuro ICU, Medical/Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU or Cardiovascular ICU), Women’s Services (Labor & Delivery, Neonatal ICU or Family Care Center/Mother-Baby), Emergency Department and Surgical Services (Pre-Op, Operating Room or Cardiovascular Operating Room).

RESPONSIBLE FOR: The Staff Nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
