Shift/Schedule: Full-time
JOB PURPOSE:
Installing, maintaining and servicing locks, key and entrance systems, windows and doors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Installs and maintains locks (manual & electronic) and locking devices to include type of lock necessary, cleaning, lubricating, replacing, repairing, re-keying lock and extracting broken keys.
2. Maintains security of work area and complies with laws, codes, standards, policies and procedures relating to opening locks and issuance of keys.
3. Makes keys and operates computerized key making machine to duplicate keys when original not available.
4. Ensures key making machines are working properly.
5. Ensures key control records are accurate and up-to-date.
6. Inspects and repairs doors and windows structures for safety hazards.
7. Installs and repairs hardware fixtures such as hinges, door stops, latches, door closures and weather stripping for doors and windows.
8. Communicates exiting and possible problems to coworkers and supervisor.
9. Obtains supplies from stores and other sources.
10. Maintains job records, contractor and vendor files.
11. Ensures purchase orders are accurate and filed correctly.
12. Processes and maintains work order job log by recording project, department, person assigning work order, date assigned, date completed, purchase order number, and contractor.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One (1) year of locksmith experience required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Georgia driver’s license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 criteria preferred.
