Shift/Schedule: Full-time
JOB PURPOSE:
Maintaining medical related equipment that includes repair, preventive maintenance, and electrical safety to ensure patient / staff safety and correct diagnosis for medical providers, and to ensure compliance for the Environment of Care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform electrical safety inspection on medical equipment.
2. Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
3. Perform corrective maintenance on selective equipment with supervision.
4. Perform database entry on work performed.
5. Work with and assist senior technicians to gain knowledge.
6. Partners with Information Services (IS) to support device integration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
• Computer keyboard or typing skills
• Perform equipment database documentation
• Knowledge and use of testing devices

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
In lieu of degree, can have one of the following:
1) Equivalent Military Biomed Tech Program
2) Three (3) years of electronic mechanical experience
3) One (1) year of experience in Biomedical Engineering field
4) Industry recognized Certification (AAMI / ACI CBET, CRES, CLES).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Biomedical internship preferred.
