Description
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Responsible for the oversight of phlebotomy services and serves as the technical expert in phlebotomy. Coordinates phlebotomy activities to ensure timely, safe, efficient specimen collection according to established collection protocols.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School graduate or GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of phlebotomy experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy required. Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred. Experience working in a hospital preferred.
